The Alfa Romeo 910 model is not "the shorter version of the Mille (Italian for "1000")". It is an older generation vehicle; it derived from a vertical/front-engined bus whilst the Mille came from an underfloor/central-engined one. If you look at a 910 bus, you can notice the very short front overhang and the very long rear one, as in lorries derivative (The 910 was actually a lorry derivative, it came from the 900/950 lorry that was sold in Turkey too). The Mille was a specific design chassis for bus, with symmetrical overhangs - like, i.e. Fiat 306 or Lancia Esatau P.
Aerfer used front and rear axles for this UTVeS-2 project, putting them under a self-bearing structure with quasi-symmetrical overhangs.
