1939 FIAT trolleybus - Athens-Piraeus
Sorry for answering in English.
The Fiat you are asking about is kept at Nea Filadelfia depot, in a covered, protected area. It does go out every Easter Sunday, or actually it is the Sunday before the Greek Easter. This is usually (but NOT ALWAYS) the Sunday of Catholic Easter. Check a calendar for next year to be sure.
It traditionnally goes from the terminus of trolleybus route 20 at Kastella to downtown Piraeus. It is not usually possible to board the trolleybus with a normal ticket. Places are reserved for officials, but if you write to ILPAP they should allow you in...
I would like to ask something also:
Could we use the photos we saw in this forum in our Greek Transport Forum (www.leoforeia.gr)? We would be greatful if we could get good quality copies of this pictures. If you feel like scanning them again and sending them over, we would be very very glad. These trolleybuses were everywhere a few years ago, and now we miss them...
Thanks for the beautiful pix so far,
Michael
