    Hi Ivan
Why don't you give us some more information about the pictures you post on this side? When and where they were taken, by instance, technical details about the tramway and its route etc. We are quite curious.

    Thanks in advance

    Antonio

The last image was taken on Ust'insky bridge. Which is situated not so far from red square and kremlin (apx 1.5 km).
this tram is chech T3SU (SU-means that this model was prodused for Soviet union).
This route is legendary "A" or "Annushka". Originally this route was circle, along the bouleward ring. Now it rather short than it was 70years ago. It goes along three bouleward in center crossing river near appartment house (which is one of famous 7 stalins skyskrapers. you see it on foto) and then goes to Kaluzhskaya sq. Near which is situated one of the oldest tram depot.

    Il Deposito Apakov

PER INGRANDIRE L'IMMAGINE CLICCARE SULLA FOTO

This is administrative building of Apakov's depot, or depot No 1.
it was built in 1909 and it is architecture sight under protection of Moscow goverment.

However repair shops that also was built in the begining of XX century will be colapsed next year.

All trams will be moved on the streets. Despite on that they stil will be working.

Moscow community "moscow people for the tram" come out against closing of depot because of absurdity of this idea of goverment.

http://depo.tramvaj.ru/1.php - history page of depot, there you can see historical photos of depot.

http://http://depo.tramvaj.ru/4/gallery.php - here you can see photos of tramcars of depot No. 1.

I remined that depot No. 1 serve routes in the center and south part of Moscow.

    http://tram.rusign.com/pr_depot_1_e.php
here you can see closed Krasnopresnenskoye repair house.
that was also situated in center and was closed in 2002y. Because of road construction and dismantling tramrail which is connects depot with tram routes.

    Thank you very much!

I'm according with the inhabitants of Moskow. Those buildings are really very interesting and nice! They are full with details but not too much full (in someway as baroque style!). The picture of Apakov's depot building is really wonderful!
Thank you for the links too! I'm learning many things about the Russian trams!

    Regards
    Luca

    Moskow trams gauge
    Dear Ivan,
sorry for asking you again, but can you tell us which is Moskow trams gauge? Is it the standard european railway gauge ( 1435 mm) or the standard russian, that is broader ? The same for the underground trains ?
    Thanks a lot

    Not bad at all
The new tramways are very interesting and a proof that making non-articulated trams is still possible today, and also viable.

A question for Ivan. The white/blue/red livery seen on the tramways in your pictures (the same colours of the Russian flag, by the way, and I think that this is not a coincidence) is used now for the entire fleet of Moscow public transport?

there are no official colour for Moscow tram. Different tram car models have it's own colour scheme. Tatra t3su white and dark yellow (modernized cars yellow and red); ktm 608 (also known as coffin) white and blue; ktm 619 (modern tram car, also known as new coffin) has beige colour scheme.
The colours of Lt5 used only on that model. Generally speaking there are only 4 of them and it not prodused at that moment. [SM=x346222]

Una piccola nota fuori argomento...non credete che il tram LT5 qui sopra abbia i fari molto simili ai nuovi Breda? Vedi qui:

    www.ares-dark.com/autobus/BredaMenariniBus_240/ATC_bologna_2630_BMB240...

    www.ares-dark.com/autobus/BredaMenariniBus_240/ATC_bologna_5506_BMB24...

Anche alcuni camion MAN hanno fari simili.

    ============================

A short off-topic: the lights of the LT5 tramcar are very similar to the ones of the italian M240 bus (built by BredaMenariniBus), and also to some MAN trucks.
