Welcome!
And thanks for the very nice pictures! I've never been in Russia (therefore in Moskow too...) but as long as I know, some of the most beautiful, in architectural way, metro stations are located in Berlin, Paris (I were in both cities) and Moskow.
I will wait other interesting fotos!

Thanks again!

I went in Paris one time, I take the underground only two times, but I saw only "normal" stations. Maybe there are some important stations with a beautiful design, but I have heard that in Moscow (and St Petersburg) nearly all are well designed, like some museums!

Mayakovskaya
Moscow metro is like museum of Socialist art.

The most outstanding of them are Mayakovskaya with Deineka mosaiks. And Ploshad revolutsii (Revolution square) with statues of womens and other soviet people.

Welcome from Naples
Very nice to meet you, Tram in Moscow! I hope you will insert many other images again, wonderful like these. The architecture of these stations is very attractive. In Naples we're trying to do the same thing with the Line 1, many stations of which are very amazing by an architectural and artistic point of view.

Sdrastvitie Gaspadin Tram in Moscow!
Ciao Ivan [SM=x346236]

Welcome to MondoTram, and thank you for the beautiful pictures you posted. I lived almost four years in Moscow (from mid 1996 to the end of 1999. Not an easy time for Russia, by the way) and appreciated, among many other things, the gorgeous metro system (dedicated to V.I. Lenin, as far as I remember).

About your pictures, please note that pics posted on this forum should not be wider than 500 pixels. As you can see, I modified the images you posted to comply with our standard. If in the future you decide to post more pics, please use the same system I applied;

Sevo dobrava

Antonio

PS Just as a matter of curiosity, where do you live? Italy? Russia? How did you discover MondoTram?

Nice to meet you, Ivan; I've never been in Moskow, but I've heard a lot about the underground system, quite special. Can you give us some informations, for instance when the system was opened, how many lines are there, and so on ...
Thanks, Franco

Errata corrige
Thanks, Antonio. [SM=x346220]

Thanks for postcard. This kind of postcard is rare.
On the foto you see "konka" or horse tram. in Grand stone bridge. near kremlin.
By the way konka appears in Moscow in 1872y. after first Moscow polytechnic exibition.
In 1899 appears electric tram or tramway.and gradually konka disappears the last horsetram route closed in 1907.
