FILOBUS IN TURCHIA

I would want to contribute also to the argument about the Italian trolleybus in Turkey with one postcard of my collection. The postcard has travelled in 1973

yes. filobus 87 in postcart, in Unkapani crossing. There is background Atatürk or Unkapani bridge, and Haliç Arsenal is left of bridge and goldenhorn.

The model of trolleybus was ansaldo "san giorgio" since may 27,1961. Other cities that used that cars wereIzmir (smirne) and Ankara.

Quel modello fu esportato anche in nord africa,specie tunisi,Il cairo e Rabat. Paesi che si son sempre contesi solamente due paesi del mediterraneo:L'italia appunto e la francia ma quest'ultima solo in campo ferroviario.I motivi della scelta tutta italiana era data dal fatto che erano piu economici da gestire e come al solito le aziende italiane di allora garantivano l'efficienza di una manutenzione programmata e la sostituzione gratuita dei motorini dei avviamento in caso di usura precoce (quello che oggi fan quasi tutte le case teutoniche)

io me li ricordo i filobus di Smirne nel 1987 che giravano vicino al mare, erano blu e bianchi ed avevano un aspetto molto italiano monocassa, erano comunque ben mantenuti, ma mi risulta che li abbiano aboliti nel 1992

Sure it is a Fiat? It seems an Alfa 910 as other Istanbul trolleybuses.
